About Nature Walk Gifts
An eclectic collection of crafts

I go "shopping" for art supplies by strolling in the forest and walking along the beach. I jump from medium to medium, finding great pleasure in working with different materials.
This site is my little personal gallery, a place to track the projects that have enriched my life. From the "covid craft" project with felted animals, to the obsessive creation of gourd objects, to my experimentation with mixed media - each of these avenues for expression have provided me with hours of creative satisfaction.
After discovering the wonders of rusty stuff from the dump (thanks to ReClaimItpdx.org) my latest obsession is upscaled trash assemblage.
As Neil Gaiman said in a May 2012 graduation commencement speech to the University for the Arts students, "The one thing you have that nobody else has is you. Your voice, your mind, your story, your vision. So write and draw and live as only you can. Break rules. Leave the world more interesting for your being here. Make good art."
My roommate, Matt Achor, adds, "Or...just make art. Good, bad, ugly, mediocre. It's fun, no matter how it turns out. Just make art."
I hope you enjoy looking at my projects and if you have any questions about how they were done or if you would like to commission a piece, I'd love to hear from you.
